Proposal Writer

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Proposal Writer to support proposal development activities across federal Health IT opportunities. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience drafting compliant, compelling technical and management narratives and coordinating with SMEs, capture, and recruiting teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and edit proposal sections (technical, management, past performance, resumes, etc.) for federal RFPs/RFIs.
• Collaborate with capture managers, recruiters, and SMEs to collect inputs and tailor responses.
• Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements, templates, and style guides.
• Participate in color team reviews and incorporate feedback.
• Maintain boilerplate libraries and reusable content repositories.
• Support graphics, formatting, and layout for final submission packages.
• Track opportunities and assist with proposal schedules and deliverables

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field.
• 5 years of experience in federal proposal writing or technical writing.
• Strong understanding of RFP structures and compliance requirements (especially in GovCon or Health IT).
• Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint; familiarity with proposal tools (e.g., GovWin, Awarded AI, or similar) a plus.
• APMP Foundation certification preferred but not required.

This is a full-time role with a salary range of $100k - $120 DOE.
