PURPOSE OF POSITION
Responsible for the performance of all JTAC and JTAC related support work for CTI and MilTrain II JV on all contract matters relating to the daily execution of the MQ-9 ATS contract
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Vocational or other post-high school training.
Training and Experience: Minimum six (6) years’ experience as a certified JTAC. Previously qualified JTAC Instructor. Post Sept 11, 2001, deployment experience. Fully understand all aspects of support required in this PWS. Experience operating military radios and air to ground operation equipment. Understanding of Theater Air Control Systems (TACS) and Army Ground Systems (AGS).
General Skills: Must possess highly developed organizational, planning and management writing skills, oral communication skills, project management skills, ability to schedule workflow, prioritize, delegate, meet deadlines, and be multi-task oriented. Must have a valid US driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Security Clearance: Must maintain a “Secret” level security clearance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage dynamic teams in field conditions
- Ability to communicate clearly with geographically separated leadership
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Conduct procedurally correct Close Air Support (CAS) missions in accordance with JP 3-09.3, JFIRE and other related TTP’s
- Operate motor vehicles
- Operate military radio’s and other military equipment to communicate with aircrews
- Participate in OPFOR events
- Role play agencies and assets as required
- Participate in CAS, Intelligence Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) and other events as required
SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
Supervise JTAC support team consisting of a JTAC Team Lead, JTAC Training Specialists, and Performance Technicians at Holloman AFB.
