PURPOSE OF POSITION
This position is responsible for the management and oversight for all of the company’s information technology services, including information management programs, corporate intranet, computer hardware and software installation, network architecture, software development, training, and support for all users. The ISM will be responsible for developing maintenance and growth plans, creating annual and project budgets, managing the IT staff, and staying current on the latest relevant technologies. The ISM will work closely with the VP of IT to ensure IT efforts align with overall corporate strategy.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor’s degree in related field (required). Master’s degree in related field (preferred).
Training and Experience: Candidates should have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience managing all aspects of information technology including: planning, implementation, and budgeting. Must have extensive experience in network systems management and a strong understanding of the software development life cycle.
General Skills: Possess a thorough knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of hardware, software, and services necessary to administer the company’s information technology needs. Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly organized, be able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks, demonstrate a capacity for critical analysis, be detail oriented, and offer strong leadership skills.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct all IT operations.
- Develop and execute the company’s overall IT strategy.
- Communicate IT strategy to senior management, IT staff, and users.
- Establish corporate IT budget.
- Approve hardware and software purchases, and establish partnerships with IT providers.
- Maintain corporate IT disaster recovery plan, and assess for continuous improvement.
- Establish IT policies and procedures according to industry best practices.
- Ensure internal and external customers’ short and long term IT needs are met.
- Provide guidance and front line support to IT staff.
- Direct, train, and manage performance of IT team.
- Ensure compliance with NIST, CMMC, etc.
- Provide training on IT policies, procedures, and capabilities, to users through regular training sessions.
- Stay current on latest IT products, methodologies, trends, and best practices.
