PURPOSE OF POSITION
Delivers CTI developed courseware through instruction/facilitation in classroom, simulator, static aircraft trainer and virtual reality environments. Applies instructional system design processes and procedures towards the development and/or revision of lesson materials to ensure the highest quality and instructional validity of CTI produced training courseware.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High School diploma or equivalent. Must receive an Associates degree within 12 months of hire. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Security Clearance: Most have current Top Secret/SCI clearance. Must be able to obtain a successful completion of a polygraph to utilize NSA NET.
Courseware Development Requirements: Academic study in related fields and experience in related disciplines may be considered by the government for individuals not meeting all requirements. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in curriculum development including formative evaluation, and previous experience in design and production of Instructional System Design (ISD) materials, Minimum 15 credit hours of study with at least 3 hours of education credits in any of the following areas: Instructional Methodology, Tests and Measurements, Educational Psychology, Curriculum Development, and Learning Theory. The Government may consider education and training experience as a substitute for the educational requirements.
Instructor Training and Experience: Previous experience within the last two years as an RC-135 V/W IIO; or an RC-135 (or comparable aircraft) management level Cryptologic Mission Crew member (Airborne Mission Supervisor [AMS], Airborne Analyst [AA], Data Link Operator [DLO]); or qualified as a contract IIO instructor in a capacity within the preceding two years. Must complete a formal Criterion Referenced Instruction (CRI) course within six months after start of training as an instructor. Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement. Must be able to obtain a Top Secret with SCI access security clearance.
The following qualifications are desired: More than 1,000 flying hours in any RC-135 model or comparable aircraft; previous evaluator experience in any RC-135 model or comparable aircraft within the preceding two years; previous experience as an academic platform instructor or training device (simulator) instructor; multiple position qualifications in aircraft listed above within the preceding two years.
General Skills: Must be able to manage multiple projects, be detail oriented and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Possess strong proof reading and editing skills.
Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Virtual Reality, and PowerPoint. Adobe Rise/Articulate experience preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Instructs and measures training process of student Information Integration Officers (IIO).
- Conducts briefings and debriefings and counsels student IIOs to develop and maintain a high level of proficiency.
- Assists in projects and development work as assigned.
- Conducts academics, aircrew training device (Mission Crew Training System MCTS, SCLR, part task trainers (PTT), Static Aircraft Training (SAT), Virtual Reality, and other ground training to IIO crew members in operating procedures.
- Performs administrative duties relative to training such as recordkeeping, monitoring student progress, counseling, training development and maintenance of training programs.
- Develop new/revise lessons to meet changing syllabus requirements and provide to customer SME for review and comment via online coordination and publication system.
- Analyze student feedback for corrections/changes to course material.
- Review completed courseware for instructional integrity, which includes adapting course objectives to conform to ISD standards and adapting media requirements).
- Ensure compliance with CTI style guides.
- Ensure materials adhere to established formats, reflect approved objectives and offer means for criterion based evaluation.
- Interacts daily with other members of the staff to ensure the effectiveness of CTI CWD process and the quality of products that result.
- Review final courseware package by comparing materials to quality assurance guidelines, to ensure that there are no discrepancies or missing elements that the activities work, etc.
- Publish/submit reports as required by the PWS (e.g. Draft Lesson Packages, Alpha/Beta test reports).
- Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.
