Responsibilities
- Assist in the design, analysis, and preparation of civil engineering projects, including transportation, water resources, environmental, and land development projects.
- Support senior engineers in the preparation of drawings, calculations, and reports for various projects using industry-standard software (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, etc.).
- Conduct site visits to observe construction activities and ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
- Perform field data collection, surveying, and soil/water testing to assist in the development of project designs.
- Participate in team meetings and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
- Assist in the review of project documents, including construction plans, technical reports, and engineering specifications.
- Help prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and bid documents as needed.
- Learn and adhere to company safety procedures and industry regulations.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of two years of completed coursework in civil engineering or relevant subjects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit or other engineering design software is preferred.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn.
- Previous internship or co-op experience in civil engineering is a plus but not required.
