Responsibilities:
- Daily charge entry (to be entered within 24 hours)
- Daily accounts receivable
- Denials/Underpayments/Overpayments/Edits of claims
- Current knowledge of covered CPT and ICD-10 billing codes
- Patient collections
- Documentation
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing within an outpatient surgical or ambulatory surgery center environment.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to surgical procedures.
- Proficiency in EPIC preferred for billing and documentation management.
- Familiarity with medical records management and the importance of accurate documentation for billing purposes.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance companies, patients, and staff.
