What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse position at CTGI Endoscopy Center?
We are seeking highly-skilled and experienced Registered Nurses (RN) to join our growing Endoscopy team. You will collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our Endoscopy patients. Our ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of a variety of illnesses combined with excellent assessment skills, as well as a compassionate and hard-working attitude. This position offers variety in the work place, as you would rotate assignments in our Pre Procedure Area, Endoscopy Procedure Rooms and Recovery Area (extensive orientation provided.) You can enjoy your weekends as our hours are Monday-Friday, no holidays or on-call. We also offer a competitive benefit package and salary!
Qualifications include:
- Possession of a current State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
- BLS/ACLS Certification
- Proficient IV insertion skills
- Two years of professional nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to practice highest quality, compassionate medical care with highest standards of ethics and morality
- Knowledge of professional nursing theory and practice to give and evaluate patient care
- Self-directed, creative, and able to work independently
- Ability to remain flexible and work as a team to accomplish common goals
- Must be able to handle multiple, simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional, courteous manner. Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
- Based on business need, the ability to work a flexible schedule
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive patient care including assisting with endoscopy procedures, utilization of endoscopy equipment, and specimen collection accuracy.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).
- Administer basic life support and assist with critical procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective communication and optimal patient outcomes.
- Uphold center protocols and safety standards while delivering compassionate care to patients and their families.
