Location: Painted Post, NY
Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Painted Post, NY
Pay Rate: Based on experience
Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Education: BS degree required; advanced degree preferred in Data Science, Computer Engineering, Physics, EE, ECE, or Optics
Description:
Join the Engineering Measurements & Controls group to develop software and algorithms for imaging data that support inspection and production of advanced products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop software and image processing algorithms for inspection technology.
- Collaborate with the measurements group to manipulate data for production and quality feedback.
- Transfer early-stage technology to production-ready applications.
- Create/update documentation and train personnel on applications and procedures.
- Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting using data analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong programming skills (C# & Python preferred)
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and software architecture
- Experience with image processing algorithms (blob analysis, edge finding, morphology, feature extraction, classification, metrology)
- Data retrieval, plotting, and analysis
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Halcon or OpenCV
- Machine learning (CNNs and traditional methods)
- Statistical analysis and MEE concepts
- Database interfacing
- Experience in metrology, inspection, product quality, and optical measurement systems
Soft Skills:
- Effective team and customer interaction
- Independent, results-oriented, quick learner, able to multitask
