CSF Maintenance Technician- Charleston, IL

Essential Job Functions: 

• Maintain commercial, residential and office facilities in good repair, ensuring a quality, safe and clean environment.
• Keep facilities free of safety, mechanical and other hazards such as those caused by electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems, etc.
• Maintain facilities in compliance with Federal, State and Local laws/requirements.
• Follow schedules for routine maintenance and repair work, documenting and submitting reports as required.
• Receive and process electronic work orders (eTickets).  Update eTicket system daily so that all are aware of the progress.
• Perform maintenance checks of the building, grounds, and facilities.  Document and report outcome of maintenance checks.
• Under direction of management, schedule and complete special projects required to maintain the facilities, and/or accommodate growth and changes within the programs.
• Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment, parts, and tools at facilities as required, and replenish as necessary.
• Obtain parts, supplies and materials required to sustain routine maintenance and to complete special projects.
• Have the ability to problem solve, to work independantly, and as a team member.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, & Outlook/Gmail. General knowledge of computers, and Smart phone’s and it’s misc. applications.
• Full time posistions require on-call responsiblilities.
• General maintenance and repair work may include, but is not limited to:
• Painting.  Wall preparation and painting.
• Carpentry and other miscellaneous repair work, including assembly of furniture.
• Plumbing: clearing drain lines, fixture and piping replacements, toilet replacements and rodding.
• Electrical: replacing light fixtures, switches, outlets, etc.
• Moving office and home furniture, and appliances.
• Maintain the exterior grounds of buildings: Weed control, clearing gutters, cutting tree limbs, etc
• Keep the HVAC units in good working order at all times.  Filters, cleaning condensers, thermostats
• Keep work areas and storage rooms neat and orderly.
• Coordinate cleaning of outside windows.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Conduct and participate in fire drills and/or other drills as required. 
• Maintain  a working knowledge of current applicable Federal and State regulations, HIPAA, labor laws, as well as professional standards and ensure compliance with these regulations and standards.
• Provide assistance and guidance to Community Living Diretors and staff in the care and use of facilities.
• Perform janitorial responsibilities, as required, and/or in absence of janitor.
• Support self-advocacy and self-determination of individuals receiving services by giving them the opportunity to make choices and encouraging empowerment when interactions occur.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Experience, Education and/or Training:

• Minimum 1-3 years working general maintenance work with demonstrated proficiency. 
• Must have knowledge of general maintenance, such as HVAC, plumbing, basic carpentry, electric, and various mechanical systems.
• Must be able to do carpentry work.  Employer will supply tools and equipment.
• Able to meet the physical requirements of any and all assigned janitorial, maintenance and construction duties.
• Possess valid drivers license with acceptable driving record per company requirements.  Local travel is necessary.  Empolyer will supply transportation.

Additional Experience, Education and/or Training Preferred:  

• Additional maintenance and/or other technical certifications preferred but not required.

Salary : $20 - $23
