Accounting Supervisor

Salary: $65,000–$72,000/year

Are you an experienced accounting professional who enjoys leading a team and making sure the details are done right? CTF Illinois is looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable professional to join our team as an Accounting Supervisor. In this role, you’ll oversee key accounting functions, support and develop a small accounting team, and help ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and integrity of our financial operations.

What You'll Do

• Oversee and support a team of 2–3 accounting professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support to promote accountability and professional growth.
• Manage and review Accounts Payable activities, including invoice processing, payment batches, vendor reconciliations, AP aging, and discrepancy resolution.
• Review payroll reports for accuracy and compliance and serve as a backup for payroll processing and employee inquiries.
• Maintain payroll system configurations and support annual payroll activities, including W-2 preparation and Third-Party Sick Pay (3PSP) reporting.
• Review cash application activity to ensure accurate posting and reconciliation of customer payments.
• Coordinate and review month-end and year-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, financial workbooks, and reporting schedules.
• Prepare audit documentation and reconciliations and provide support for internal and external audits.
• Assist with maintaining strong internal controls and ensuring compliance with accounting policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting and payroll processes, increase efficiency, and strengthen accuracy.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive team environment while helping team members build their accounting knowledge and skills.

• Salary: $62,000 - $72,000 annually

• Previous management or supervisory experience.
