Staff Accountant

CTF Development is seeking a Staff Accountant for its Bethesda, MD office. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to join our accounting team. This role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, employee expense reports, and other reporting and analysis, as well as general office management. The ideal candidate is highly organized, comfortable working with numbers, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role will report to the Vice President, Corporate Controller.

Highlighted responsibilities:

·        Process accounts payable (AP) including vendor management, invoice coding and payment runs (ACH/checks/wires)

·        Manage accounts receivable (AR), including intercompany billings, collections, and reconciliations

·        Review, process and post employee expense reports in compliance with company policies

·        Maintain accurate and timely financial records and assist with month-end close tasks

·        Prepare ad-hoc reports, surveys, and analysis for management as necessary

·        Assist with annual external audit and any other examinations, including preparing schedules and supporting data

·        Contribute to process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations

·        Support general office management, including supplies, vendor coordination, and administrative needs

·        Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth accounting and company operations

Skills & Qualifications:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)

·        3 years related experience in accounting or bookkeeping

·        Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles and AP/AR processes

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics SL, SAP Invoice, SAP Expense or similar) a plus

·        Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

·        Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities

·        Team-oriented with a proactive and problem-solving mindset
