Responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining detailed production schedules to ensure that manufacturing operations meet customer requirements, quality standards, and delivery timelines. This role serves as the central point of communication between production, purchasing, inventory, and logistics to optimize resource utilization and minimize downtime.
Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000.00(depending on level of prior experience) Paid Time Off and Benefits
Schedule: On-Site, 7:00am to 4:00pm, Monday To Friday
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand
forecasts, customer orders, and inventory levels. - Collaborate with production supervisors, purchasing, and warehouse teams to align schedules with material availability and workforce capacity.
- Monitor progress against schedules and adjust as needed to address equipment downtime, material shortages, or changes in demand.
- Analyze production capacity and recommend workflow improvements to reduce bottlenecks.
- Communicate schedule changes promptly to relevant departments to ensure transparency and minimize disruptions.
- Coordinate with quality control to ensure products meet compliance and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate scheduling data within ERP or production management systems.
- Generate and distribute regular production reports for management review.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and implementing process efficiencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned, in alignment with the needs of the warehouse and the business it supports.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 2 years of experience in production scheduling, planning, or manufacturing coordination.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and lead times.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail to ensure schedules are accurate and realistic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analysis tools.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems and the full Microsoft Office Suite to support reporting and daily operations.
- Adapts quickly to meet changing priorities and manages time effectively, balancing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Proficient in managing a demanding workload, prioritizing tasks, and consistently meeting deadlines.
- Ability to strategically analyze complex situations and develop well-considered plans.
- Applies analytical skills to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve production goals.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and engage others.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on results and continuous improvement.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e.
testing and repair) or forward/reverse logistics operation.
Educational Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related
field, or equivalent relevant experience.
