- 1st Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm, Monday-Friday
A Manufacturing Painter performs preparation and painting of mobile devices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning and other methods of device preparation.
- Select and mix paints based on model color, as matched, and entered in system.
- Apply coats of paint, clear coat, and primer (if necessary) to match OEM finish.
- Ensure application of paint correction on all damaged areas of devices.
- Follow safety protocols and use appropriate equipment to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good condition, cleaning and storing them properly after each use.
- Complete projects within specified timeframes while adhering to quality standards.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business of the division’s goal.
Required Skills and Experience
- Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, paint mixing, and application methods.
- Excellent manual dexterity and hand eye coordination.
- Knowledge of different types of paints, as well as their properties and applications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism.
- Capacity to demonstrate reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- General knowledge of OSHA Standards.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques or technologies in the painting industry.
- Certifications in refinishing techniques, ASE or I-Car preferred.
Educational Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- Warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a paint booth with a PAPR device.
- Ability to perform tasks such as lifting (equal to or excessing 50 lbs.), bending over, kneeling down, elevation of the arms above the head.
