The Accounting Intern will support the CTDI Corporate Accounting team with routine accounting activities and month-end close processes. This entry-level role is designed to provide hands-on experience with general ledger accounting, journal entries, and account reconciliations, while building a foundational understanding of corporate accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Accounting Support
- Assist the accounting team with day-to-day general ledger activities in a corporate environment.
- Support the preparation and review of accounting schedules and supporting documentation.
- Work closely with team members to ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in accordance with company policies
Month-End Close & Reconciliation Exposure
- Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation and of journal entries and supporting balance sheet account reconciliations, including but not limited to:
- Prepaid assets
- Fixed assets
- Inventory accounts
- Help investigate and document account variances under the guidance of senior accountants.
- Help organize documentation to support audits and internal reviews
Process & Team Support
- Assist in documenting accounting processes and procedures.
- Participate in identifying opportunities for efficiency and process improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Finance, Operations, and Procurement as needed
General Accounting Duties (Summarized)
- Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as assigned, including:
- Journal entry preparation
- Account reconciliation support
- General accounting analysis
Learning Opportunities
- Exposure to the month-end close cycle within a corporate accounting function.
- Practical application of accounting principles and financial statement concepts.
- Experience working with ERP systems and accounting tools.
- Understanding of internal controls and audit support activities.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Introductory coursework in financial accounting required; intermediate coursework preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic to intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong willingness to learn in a team-oriented, professional environment
