The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products/materials.

The Forklift Operator is responsible for operating Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) equipment for the purpose of moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting products/materials.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Unloads inbound shipments safely and moves product to appropriate locations.
- Stacks and stores products in designated areas using a forklift, push-pull, or other powered equipment.
- Pulls and prepares products for shipment by ensuring the exact number and type of product is loaded.
- Moves product from staging and/or storage areas into trailers and the production floor.
- Use of electric pallet jack/forklift/swing reach.
- Operates all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following the established warehouse safety standards/regulations.
- Immediately report any incidents or accidents involving PIT equipment to a Supervisor/Manager.
- Maintains appropriate records and reports to guarantee inventory control and security.
- Assists in physical inventories.
- Ensures proper stock rotation.
- May require performing picking duties in an efficient manner.
- All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.
- At least 1 years’ experience and/or using warehouse distribution equipment.
- Maintain compliance with CTDI's PIT certification requirements.
- Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
- Basic knowledge of computers and MS Office (Excel, and Outlook).
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Previous experience working in a high-volume distribution, manufacturing, technical service (i.e. testing and repair) or forward logistics operation a plus.
- Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Time-management skills.
- Written and verbal communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Warehouse environment.
- The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary. The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
- The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.
