2nd Shift Engineering Technician, Automation

This role is responsible for all building maintenance, automation equipment maintenance, upgrades, buildouts, and continuous improvement of the facility.

Responsibilities

2nd Shift:

• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Maintenance of mechanical equipment (conveyors, robots, motors, pneumatic devices, control devices, scanners, photo-eyes, etc.).
• Understanding of equipment operation and basic trouble shooting for equipment controls (PLC, WES, WCS).
• Maintain daily logs, perform preventative maintenance, conduct daily inspections and routine adjustments as needed to keep the automation equipment in good working order.
• Respond to emergency maintenance requests. Troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution. This may require non-shift work.
• Assist with any automation system installation and retrofits as needed.
• Support CTDI’s sustainability initiatives.
• Work with all levels of management to define and prioritize workflow.
  
  

Required Skills

• 3 years of experience with building and automation equipment maintenance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and repair maintenance issues.
• Working knowledge of commercial electrical systems, control systems, and warehouse equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
