Job Title: Dispensing Pharmacist
Location: West Chester, Ohio 45069
Shift: 2nd shift - 5:30pm -2am Sunday - Thursday
Position Summary:
The Dispensing Pharmacist is a licensed Pharmacist responsible for the accurate, timely, and compliant dispensing of prescription medications to patients. This role requires sound professional judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams in a high‑volume pharmacy environment.
The Pharmacist ensures strict adherence to quality assurance standards, regulatory requirements, and internal processes, including verification and final review prior to shipment of medications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Perform final verification and review of medications prior to shipment to patients
- Ensure adherence to quality assurance standards and accurate tracking/documentation procedures
- Exercise professional judgment to interpret prescriptions and determine appropriate courses of action
- Identify, resolve, and escalate issues related to medication dispensing or workflow as needed
- Collaborate effectively with pharmacists, technicians, and support teams to maintain operational efficiency
- Follow established procedures while demonstrating flexibility in ambiguous situations
- Support departmental, segment, and organizational goals through consistent performance and accountability
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited college of pharmacy
- Active Pharmacist license in the applicable state(s) of practice
- Eligibility to participate in Federal prescription programs
- Strong work ethic with a focus on accuracy, productivity, and quality
- Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively in a team environment
- Excellent problem‑solving and collaborative skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers and pharmacy systems
- Passion for contributing to an organization focused on improving consumer/patient experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in a high‑volume community pharmacy or mail‑order pharmacy setting
