CTA Construction Managers is an award-winning, ENR top 100 Green Contractor based in Waltham, MA. CTA specializes in large scale, complex, state of the art, LEED certified buildings throughout Massachusetts. They are currently seeking a Construction Superintendent for construction sites in and around Boston's North Shore. The ideal Superintendent candidate should be a strong leader with a proven track record in completing projects on time, with high quality, while maintaining a safe work environment. CTA offers an excellent opportunity for career growth, a competitive salary, and an outstanding benefits package including full health insurance coverage.The Superintendent has ultimate responsibility for the day-to-day onsite management of construction projects including:Development and adherence to the project scheduleMaintaining the site-specific quality control planDevelopment and maintenance of the site-specific safety planDevelopment and maintenance of the site logistics planPreside over weekly subcontractor meetings designed to coordinate the work.Generation of daily construction reports- Procore experience a plusGenerate weekly SWPPP inspections reportsServe as liaison with the community in the areas where the project is being performedMaintaining client relations with architects, owners, subcontractors, etc.Spearheading site coordination amongst trades and acting as the site leaderProactively resolve issues as they arise and/or pulling in appropriate parties to make effective resolution decisions.Maintain effective lines of communication with Project Management team at all timesSchedule subcontractors, consultants, and vendors in critical path to ensure timely completion.Perform quality control duties and responsibilities regarding the work being performed.Communicate with project team regarding ASI’s, RFI’s, and Material Submittals.Ensure that subcontractor is fully executing and complying with his contracted scope of work.Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions where appropriate.Identify and address subcontractor non-compliance with safety, health, and environmental quality standards.Identify conflicts in construction documents and communicate them to project team for resolution.Ensure subcontractors have corrected all deficiencies identified by project team.Identify and handle any issues of non-compliance with subcontractors relating to quality of work or scheduling.Ensure that the job site is always kept in a clean and organized manner.Ensure timely completion of punch list with subcontractors.Supervise and mentor Assistant Superintendents assigned to projectsThe Ideal Candidate Will Possess the Following Skills:Strong leadership skillsExperience with use of computers, mobile devices, and other technologyExceptional communication skills: Can verbally and in written format relay necessary information to all parties involved.Possess a high sense of urgency: proactively solving problems and addressing conflicts.Ability to read and understand all construction documentsEndurance and ability to visit entire job site, including stairs or other elevated structuresExceptional Interpersonal Skills: Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; able to build morale to achieve group commitments to goals and objectives; supports everyone's efforts to succeed.Strong Planning and Organization Skills: prioritizes and plans work activities to effectively meet schedules; plans for additional resources and resource constraints when needed; Can organize or schedule other people and their tasks; develops and communicates realistic action plans; effectively monitor and implement action plan; employs effective ways to manage changes, delays, or unexpected eventsDemonstrates Professionalism - Approaches others in a tactful manner; can handle high pressure situations; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position; accepts responsibility for own actions and follows through on commitments.
