THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION
Position to be filled upon the vacancy of the incumbent.
DUTY LOCATION: Director of Logistics/G4 (DOL), Hartford, CT
AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION:
Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members of the Connecticut Army National Guard.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
COMPATIBLE MILITARY ASSIGNMENT: All applications will be considered regardless of Branch/AOC/FA/MOS. Incumbent will be required to be assigned to compatible military position within 1 year of selection. The selected individual may be required to attend formal technician school training.
MILITARY GRADE (Prior to Application): Warrant: WO1 through CW3; Enlisted: E-5 through E-7
UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT: Any unit within state
CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT: Training at the National Guard Professional Education Center (NGPEC) is a mandatory condition of employment, subject to availability of resources. NGB prescribed courses at NGPEC must be completed within 6 months of assignment to this position. Failure to complete course(s) may result in reassignment or termination of full-time employment unless extenuating circumstances preclude course attendance.
JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions.
NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED. This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Army National Guard.

Qualifications:
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume and any other supporting documentation you wish to provide must clearly substantiate you currently possess 36 months of specialized experience in the following:
- Experience, education, or training supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions.
- Experience demonstrating knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system.
- Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues.
- Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of a broad range of supply program relationships.
- Knowledge of specialized methods and techniques to analyze and evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of supply programs and operations.
- Ability to analyze and resolve difficult issues and problems in supply processes, work methods, supply data management and supply operations.
- Ability to develop and implement procedures/practices to cover multiple supply objectives.
- Knowledge of a variety of technical supply operations.

Responsibilities:
This is an indefinite position that may convert to permanent without further competition.JOB SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to develop command logistics guidance and support plans for federal and state missions.

The major duties include, but are not limited to:
- Formulates and implements the comprehensive logistics support plans, policies and logistics operations support, based on logistics data and requirements obtained from the Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) staff, units, USPFO, NGB and other organizations.
- Develops, coordinates and implements policies, procedures and requirements for unit deployment, inter-service support agreements as approved by the USPFO, emergency support for civil authorities, training exercises support and environmental compliance.
- Obtains data from the Unit Status Report and the Material Readiness Report to determine andimprove logistics readiness.
- Develops, staffs and implements logistics plans for material fielding, mission support and mobilization.
- Updates Internal Management Control (IMC) Plan projecting 5 years into future for all DCSLOG/G4branches or activities.
