The Drain Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and clearing clogs in residential and commercial drain and sewer lines using mechanical equipment. This includes operating drain machines, augers, jetters (if applicable), and performing basic sewer line maintenance under supervision.
Daily tasks include:
- Running drain cleaning equipment safely and effectively
- Setting up and breaking down equipment at job sites
- Documenting work performed with clear job notes
- Communicating findings and recommendations to customers
- Maintaining a clean work area, tools, and company vehicle
- Driving to multiple job locations throughout the day
- Following all company safety protocols
This role requires independence, problem‑solving, and the ability to stay calm and professional in front of customers.
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn drain cleaning equipment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Comfortable working in crawlspaces, basements, and tight areas
- Able to lift 50–75 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Experience in plumbing, drain cleaning, construction, or related trades is preferred but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to safe work practices
Pay Range:
- $22–$38 per hour depending on experience
