Duties
- Manage the entire medical billing cycle, including claim submission, follow-up, and denials management to ensure timely reimbursement.
- Oversee patient account management, including registration, payments, collections, and resolving billing inquiries with professionalism.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) and coding standards like ICD-10 and CPT.
- Implement and refine billing procedures to improve workflow, reduce errors, and enhance revenue cycle performance.
- Maintain detailed records of billing activities, audit reports, and financial transactions for transparency and accountability.
- Stay updated on industry changes in coding practices, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical billing with a strong understanding of insurance claims processing, coding (ICD-10, CPT), and reimbursement procedures.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing administrative or billing teams in a healthcare setting.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail to minimize errors in billing and coding.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA compliance standards.
- Proficiency in medical billing software (such as AdvancedMD, Kareo or similar) and electronic health record systems.
- Exceptional communication skills for interacting effectively with patients, insurance companies, and team members.

Pay: $22.31 - $29.28 per hour
