We are seeking a bilingual (Spanish/English) Tax Preparer to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and corporations
- Gather and analyze financial data using tax software and accounting tools such as QuickBooks, Sage, and other financial software
- Assist clients with tax planning strategies to optimize their financial outcomes
- Maintain accurate records of client information and documentation for audit purposes
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining complex tax concepts clearly in both Spanish and English
- Maintain confidentiality and stay updated on current tax laws, regulations, and industry best practices
- Support marketing efforts to attract new clients and retain existing ones through professional communication
- Conduct analysis of financial statements and concepts to ensure accurate reporting
Experience
- At least 1 year of tax preparation experience (accounting experience referred)
- Proven background in tax preparation, bookkeeping, or related financial roles
- Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms
- Strong understanding of financial concepts, analysis skills, and technical accounting principles
- Experience with sales or financial software is a plus
- Detailed-oriented, organized, reliable, and self-motivated
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Able to work flexible hours and consistent schedule during tax season
