Job Summary:
A Recruiter is an entry-level position within Contractor Solutions' HR department, primarily responsible for supporting the recruitment process by posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting initial phone interviews, scheduling candidate meetings with hiring managers, and managing candidate data within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), all while learning the full recruitment cycle under the guidance of a Talent Acquisition Manager. Key tasks include sourcing candidates through job boards, social media, and networking, coordinating with hiring teams to understand their needs, and ensuring a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process. This is a part‑time position requiring an on‑site presence several days per week at our Houston Spenwick facility, with the potential for limited remote flexibility in the future.
Job Overview
Contractor Solutions is seeking a motivated Recruiter to join our HR team in a part‑time capacity. This entry‑level role is ideal for an early‑career professional who is eager to build foundational recruiting skills while supporting a fast‑moving talent acquisition function. Under the guidance of a Talent Acquisition Manager, the Recruiter will participate in the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, and coordinating candidates across multiple business units.
Key responsibilities of a Recruiter:
- Job Posting and Sourcing:
- Create and post job descriptions on job boards and company career sites
- Utilize sourcing strategies to identify potential candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, and other channels
- Develop and maintain a talent pool of qualified candidates
- Candidate Screening:
- Review resumes and applications to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements
- Conduct initial phone screens to assess candidate fit and interest
- Manage the pre-employment phase of the hiring process through a third-party vendor
- Interview Coordination:
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers and candidates
- Prepare interview questions and provide candidate information to hiring teams
- Manage interview logistics and follow-up communication with candidates
- Administrative Tasks:
- Update and maintain candidate information in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Generate reports on recruitment metrics and pipeline status
- Assist with onboarding new hires and working with hiring managers to ensure everything is ready for the new hire’s first day
- Learning and Development:
- Participate in training programs to develop recruitment skills and knowledge of company policies
- Shadow senior HR team members to learn best practices and advanced recruitment strategies
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 2 years of HR experience
- Experience as a recruiter or in a recruiting capacity
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
- UKG and/or JD Edwards experience
- HR certification, e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP
- Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools
- Basic understanding of HR practices and recruitment principles
- Experience working in fast‑paced or high‑volume environments
- MS Office Proficiency
- English/Spanish fluency

Work Environment:
Office: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an office environment. The employee is occasionally required to use hands and fingers to type or dial, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. This position requires computer use. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Compensation:
RectorSeal has an effective process for assessing market data and establishing salary ranges to ensure we remain competitive. Based on your experience and market position, you are paid within the salary range. Employees may be eligible for pay incentives based on overall corporate and individual performance or at the discretion of the CSWI Board of Directors.
