Position Overview
We are looking for a dependable, detail-oriented cutting rubberer to join our production team. This role is essential to producing high-quality cutting dies used in the packaging industry.
About the Role
You will work with cutting dies that are made custom for our customers. Our industry uses steel blades that cut and score packaging materials such as cardboard/corrugate. The rubberer is responsible for applying rubber stripping materials to cutting dies. These tools allow us to create boxes and displays like the ones seen in grocery stores, beverage packaging, retail product boxes, or point-of purchase displays.
We are willing to train the right candidate with a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
· Review job orders and customer specifications to plan
· Select, cut, and apply rubber stripping materials to die boards
· Inspect completed dies, and correct any defects
· Maintain clean work areas and properly care for tools and equipment
Requirements
· Ability to read and follow job specifications
· Basic math and measurement skills
· Strong attention to detail
· Ability to stand for extended periods of time
· Lift up to 20 lbs regularly and up to 65 lbs with assistance
