Duties
- Conduct thorough patrols of the facility using CCTV systems and physical security checks to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
- Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors
- Respond promptly to incidents by performing first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures as needed
- Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, breaches, or accidents with clarity and accuracy
- Perform background checks on potential employees or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security regulations
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity across different areas of the premises
- De-escalate conflicts using conflict management techniques and enforce compliance with security policies while maintaining a professional demeanor
- Handle firearm handling responsibly in accordance with legal standards and organizational policies; perform heavy lifting or manual handling tasks when necessary for security purposes
Experience
- Prior experience in military service, law enforcement, or private security is highly desirable
- Proven ability to operate surveillance tools including CCTV systems and access control platforms
- Demonstrated knowledge of emergency response procedures such as first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols
- Experience in performing background checks or screening processes for personnel or visitors
- Strong conflict de-escalation skills combined with excellent customer service abilities
- Familiarity with security equipment like Taser devices and familiarity with physical security best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and adhere strictly to compliance standards related to security operations
