The HydroVac Laborer supports daily operations of a HydroVac truck crew by assisting with non-mechanical tasks such as digging, cleanup, and safe operation around utilities. This role is physically demanding and requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and consistent attendance.

Job Summary:
The HydroVac Laborer supports daily operations of a HydroVac truck crew by assisting with non-mechanical tasks such as digging, cleanup, and safe operation around utilities. This role is physically demanding and requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and consistent attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the operation of HydroVac trucks to perform daylighting (exposing underground utilities), trenching, and potholing.
- Safely handle vacuum and water hose systems during excavation.
- Work in various outdoor environments including mud, heat, cold, and confined spaces.
- Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and using proper traffic control methods.
- Support the operator in pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Set up job sites with cones, signs, and safety barriers as required.
- Load and unload materials and equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle.
- Complete basic paperwork and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and must be insurable
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
- Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
- Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Experience in construction or utilities is a plus but not required—on-the-job training is provided.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, and occasionally hazardous materials.
- Physically demanding work that includes lifting, bending, standing, and working long hours.
