Job Summary:

The HydroVac Laborer supports daily operations of a HydroVac truck crew by assisting with non-mechanical tasks such as digging, cleanup, and safe operation around utilities. This role is physically demanding and requires a commitment to safety, teamwork, and consistent attendance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the operation of HydroVac trucks to perform daylighting (exposing underground utilities), trenching, and potholing.
• Safely handle vacuum and water hose systems during excavation.
• Work in various outdoor environments including mud, heat, cold, and confined spaces.
• Follow safety procedures, including wearing PPE and using proper traffic control methods.
• Support the operator in pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Set up job sites with cones, signs, and safety barriers as required.
• Load and unload materials and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and vehicle.
• Complete basic paperwork and communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and must be insurable
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to work overtime and travel as needed.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Experience in construction or utilities is a plus but not required—on-the-job training is provided.
  
  
  

Working Conditions:

• Exposure to outdoor weather conditions, loud noise, and occasionally hazardous materials.
