Delivers comprehensive Air Traffic Control (ATC) support to the Safety Directorate (AJI) within the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) on behalf of CSSI. As an ATC Subject Matter Expert (SME), aid the AJI in developing aviation safety solutions. Responsibilities include:

Delivers comprehensive Air Traffic Control (ATC) support to the Safety Directorate (AJI) within the Air Traffic Organization (ATO) on behalf of CSSI. As an ATC Subject Matter Expert (SME), aid the AJI in developing aviation safety solutions. Responsibilities include:
- Drafting responses to inquiries from the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Air Traffic Safety Oversight Service (AOV), the Office of Inspector General (OIG), the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), and Congress.
- Additionally, contribute to various special projects, handle urgent tasks, and assist in devising effective mitigation strategies for identified safety concerns.
- Drafting Safety Metrics Updates for the U.S. Senate and House of Representatives Aviation and Appropriations Subcommittees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, and Teams as required, along with familiarity with TechSmith’s Snagit and Camtasia.
- Air Traffic Control (both military and FAA contexts)
- FAA terminal operations, particularly in Tower/TRACON settings (preferred over enroute experience, as AJI-1520 primarily focuses on terminal environments)
- Understanding of FAA union roles and their involvement in safety solutions
- Traffic Management Coordination
- Front-Line Management/Supervision
- Supervisory Traffic Management Coordination
- Safety Management Systems (SMS)
- Crew Resource Management (CRM)
- Acquisitions Management Systems (AMS)
- Facility Instructor Training (FIT) certification
