Job Title: Pharmacy Supervisor
Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to join our client to support the safe, compliant, and efficient production of compounded medications. This onsite, direct hire opportunity is based in Bakersfield, California and plays a critical role in guiding licensed pharmacists while maintaining rigorous quality and regulatory standards. The Pharmacy Supervisor will balance leadership with hands on involvement in daily pharmacy operations. This position contributes directly to operational excellence, regulatory readiness, and positive customer outcomes.
Compensation:
$160,000 to $185,000 base salary plus annual bonus
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:15am to 5:15pm
Key Responsibilities of the Pharmacy Supervisor:
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations in a 503A compounding environment, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to established workflows
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of pharmacists by setting performance expectations and supporting ongoing training and professional growth
• Ensure full compliance with USP 795, 797, and 800 standards as well as all applicable state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Partner with cross functional teams to improve processes, support customer service needs, and maintain consistent quality standards
• Participate in compounding and dispensing activities as needed while maintaining detailed documentation and training records
Qualifications and Skills for the Pharmacy Supervisor:
• Active California pharmacist license with a BS or PharmD from an accredited program
• At least two years of pharmacy leadership experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and guide pharmacists
• Two to five years of hands on compounding experience, ideally in a regulated pharmacy setting
• Strong working knowledge of USP compounding and safety standards and regulatory compliance requirements
• Proven communication and organizational skills with a commitment to confidentiality, accuracy, and quality care
