Responsibilities
- Assist with asphalt paving operations, including spreading and leveling asphalt materials
- Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, backhoes, graders, dozers, and front loader trucks under supervision
- Support the setup and maintenance of construction sites by preparing materials and clearing debris
- Perform utility locating tasks to ensure safe excavation and paving activities
- Maintain safety standards by following protocols during all equipment operation and site activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion
Requirements
- Prior experience in construction or paving projects is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and dump trucks
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety awareness
- Strong physical stamina for lifting, bending, digging, and standing for extended periods
- Familiarity with utility locating techniques is a plus
- Valid driver’s license (a DOT approved medical card is a plus as well); experience operating Caterpillar equipment is advantageous
- Commitment to safety procedures and teamwork in a fast-paced construction environment
- Must be a quick learner and want to work hard.
- Pay will be based on knowledge and experience.
