GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
The Material Handler will support the organization by receiving all inventory, packing, and shipping orders and providing outstanding customer service. They are a key player in the production team by ensuring that all material is staged appropriately for use in the production schedule.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following statements reflect the general details necessary to describe the major functions of this position and are not intended to be a detailed description of all the work/functions that may be required. Other duties may be assigned.
- Handles all materials in a safe and orderly manner according to product requirements and standard operating procedures within specified time periods independently.
- Unpacks, examines, and routes incoming shipments, rejects, and reports defective or damaged items, records shortages accurately. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit
- Load and unload goods from trucks manually and by use of hand trucks and/or forklift
- Pulls, weighs and delivers material from exact batch numbers for production with 100% accuracy.
- Employ inventory control methods to ensure accurate counts at all times
- Record identifying product information into company database
- Responsible for managing all outbound shipments, including preparation of paperwork, management of packaging materials inventories, packaging of product to be shipped, and arrangement of transportation to final destination with 100% accuracy

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-3 years of receiving experience
- 1-3 years of packing and shipping experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
