Job Summary
The Reservation Treaty Rights Lands (RTRL) Project Coordinator position is available in the Tribal Forestry Division of Fire. This role requires a strong background in forestry and fire management, with a focus on coordinating projects and ensuring compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate project activities to ensure timely completion and compliance with regulations.
- Supervise staff and provide guidance on project tasks and objectives.
- Collaborate with tribal departments and external agencies to share knowledge and best practices.
- Maintain accurate records and reports on project progress and outcomes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Resource Management, or Associate's degree in Forestry or Fire-related field with 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Red card qualification as Single Resource Boss (CRWB, ENGB, HEQB, FELB), Incident Commander Type 5 (ICT5), or Firing Boss (FIRB) trainee.
- Valid State of Montana Driver's License for vehicle operation, with BIA/Northwest Regional Office Safe Driver Approval.
- Pass a pre-hire drug test, if not already employed by the Tribes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Firing Boss (FIRB) trainee certification.
