Water Resources Engineering Design Intern
The Balmoral Group is seeking motivated students for a Design Internship position to support our Water Resources and Storm Water team at our Winter Park, Florida office. Interns will gain real world experience as they develop professional working knowledge of industry methods, procedures and standards while working under a Professional Engineer.
Intern duties may consist of data entry, performing engineering calculations, preparing quantity calculations and cost estimates, utilizing computer programs to solve engineering problems, researching previous project plans and reports, and using CAD software for production of plans and exhibits.

What To Expect
Interns will work alongside our professional staff to gain hands-on experience in a cooperative work environment. Interns can expect to learn technical skills in a wide area of expertise as well as gain a valuable skillset of transferable skills like problem-solving, innovative thinking, and formulation of adaptive solutions.
Interns will receive professional development and mentoring from our Project Managers, Directors and Partners. In addition, interns will have opportunities to attend professional networking events for a well-rounded experience. After completion of the internship our interns will have gained valuable experience and achieved clarity on their career path, setting them up to be a competitive applicant after graduation.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a minimum of 16 hours per week
- Previous roadway and/or drainage design experience
- CAD experience (Open Roads Designer, MicroStation or AutoCAD) and/or GIS experience
