Procurement Manager - Dairy/Whey

This position oversees the sourcing and commercial management of whey streams, ensuring reliable long-term supply while enhancing the value derived from related dairy co-products such as cheese and cream. The role is responsible for coordinating procurement, trading activities, and logistics to maintain an efficient, aligned supply chain and support optimal use of production capacity across the network.

Please note, that this role is onsite in Wisconsin.

• Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a comparable discipline
• At least 8 years' experience across procurement, commercial trading, or supply chain roles; background in dairy or whey ingredients is advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation and contract management capability
• Solid knowledge of dairy industry dynamics and supply chain structures
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions
• Self-driven approach with confidence in managing market uncertainty
• Clear and effective communicator, both written and verbal
• Competent in standard office software tools

In this role, you will design and deliver sourcing, trading, and logistics strategies that secure consistent whey supply while improving the commercial return on associated dairy products.

• Track and interpret global whey market developments to guide sourcing and trading decisions
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers across the dairy value chain
• Lead negotiations and manage contracts, balancing risk and commercial opportunity
• Drive value creation through effective pricing strategies and portfolio oversight
• Support production planning to ensure efficient use of manufacturing assets
• Oversee logistics operations to ensure timely, cost-efficient, and compliant product movement
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment across the business
