Organization Overview

The CSEA Organizing department is offering multiple paid summer internships opportunities this summer to help with various organizing projects.
There are 2 opportunities based out of our Latham, NY office to have interns gain exposure and assist in various aspects of worksite organizing campaigns and efforts to build the union.
There are 2 opportunities through out the state of New York where interns will be assisting our Early Learning & Care division in their efforts to grow VOICE which represents independent early childcare providers. These interns will work in the following geographical areas:
- The Buffalo/Rochester Region
- Down State NY
The Ideal candidate is a current undergraduate/graduate student majoring in labor studies, sociology, political science, social work, or business administration. Must have strong desire to learn about union organizing. Strong research and organizational skills are required. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
There will be extensive travel throughout the state of New York, This position requires a valid driver’s license and car for travel.
Program Requirements
- You must be either a current undergraduate or graduate student.
- You must be eligible to work in the United States
- The internship program will run for 10 weeks starting May 26th, 2026, through July 31st, 2026. All interns for the Summer 2026 must participate in all 10 weeks of the program.
- This is a paid ($22/hr.) full-time position that takes place Monday through Friday for a minimum of 10 weeks. (Some interns may have the option to stay longer depending on the department’s needs)
