Job Overview

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Graphic Designer (Creative Assistant) to join our dynamic team at CSE Graphics a sign shop/event business located in West Homewood Alabama.

Responsibilities

• Design & Layout: Utilize color theory and layout principles to create engaging graphics that effectively communicate brand messages.
• Photo Editing: Execute advanced photo manipulation techniques to enhance images for various projects.
• Production Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are accurately translated into final products, with a specific focus on sign manufacturing.
• Organization: Maintain extreme organization and strictly adhere to our internal file management systems.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is required. Proficiency in Flexi is a plus; however, we are willing to train the right candidate. Our goal is to utilize Flexi for 100% of our design-to-print workflow.
• Large Format Knowledge: An understanding of (or a willingness to learn) the specific principles of wide-format graphic design.
• Client Intake: Ability to manage the front desk, including answering phones, communicating with customers, and processing sign shop orders.
• Production Support: During "slow time" or periods between events, you will assist with various production tasks and general shop needs.

Preferred Experience (Not Mandatory) :

• Wide format graphic designs ( - 1 year)
• Sign Shop Experience
• Shopvox Pro
• Flexi Software
• Google Workspace (Google Drive, Google Sheets, etc)

In Office Requirements:

Monday through Thursday 8:00 am - 5:15 pm

Friday 8:00 am - 3:15 pm

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $ $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
