Senior Full Stack Engineer, AI-Enabled Development

CSC Generation is the AI-native holding company re-engineering omnichannel retail. We acquire iconic brands and transform them with Genesis, our operating platform combining a Data Fabric, Automation Engine, proprietary tools, and shared services to modernize operations, elevate customer experience, and expand margins. With $1B in revenue across 13 brands, our portfolio includes Sur La Table, Backcountry, One Kings Lane, and others that serve as real-world innovation labs.

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

Location: Costa Rica (Remote); Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid/Remote)

CSC engineers build the Retail Service Cloud - a shared platform of APIs, SDKs, and microservices that powers operations across Backcountry, Sur La Table, One Kings Lane, Competitive Cyclist, MotoSport, and other portfolio brands.

The stack is TypeScript-first, AWS serverless, React frontend. Engineers own services end-to-end: design, build, ship, monitor.

Engineers here build systems where LLMs classify, generate, and decide at scale - with cost functions, confidence routing, and graduated autonomy. If you’ve never built production AI systems, that’s fine - but you should be excited to learn.

• Develop well-designed, testable, and scalable web applications using React, TypeScript, and modern frameworks.
• Explore and integrate AI tools to streamline development and improve user engagement.
• Deliver new features and optimize existing experiences at speed and scale within an agile workflow.
• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior engineers.
• Write and maintain unit tests and automated test suites to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Partner closely with product, design, and back-end engineering to ship cohesive end-to-end features.
• Stay current with the latest trends in front-end engineering, design patterns, and AI-driven development.

• 5 years building complex, high-performing web applications.
• Deep expertise in React and JavaScript ES6/TypeScript.
• Solid understanding of web performance, accessibility, and security best practices.
• Proven track record of writing clean, maintainable, and testable code.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
• Experience with AI technologies like Cursor AI, ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar tools to support Frontend development and user engagement strategies is a plus.

• UX/UI design sensibilities and experience collaborating closely with design teams.
• Functional programming experience.
