The Loan assistant will support commercial lenders in all aspects of the loan process. This position will prepare new loan request to submit to loan processing and review file to verify data is complete and meets established standards. Close loans and prepare for booking. Handle telephone inquiries promptly and professionally.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Order supporting documentation
- Corresponds with customers daily during process
- Maintaining the company's accounting practices (e.g., accounts payable and monthly reporting)
- Maintaining daily loan support
- Prequalify clients
- Close loan/fund loan if needed
- Prepare loan package for shipping and booking
- Inform officer of required documentation for loan renewals
- Effectively processing loan requests under minimum level of supervision, by obtaining, verifying, completing, and maintaining the necessary loan documentation
- Handle loan research issues and questions
- Ensures all loan documents are complete, accurate and in accordance with policy
