Actuarial Pricing Analyst IV - Remote

• This role is posted as a level IV Actuarial Analyst. However, we are open to levels III - IV for this role.

Your Role:

As an Actuarial Pricing Analyst, you will research and develop new methods for insurance rating. You will prepare and coordinate analyses of rate and statistical filings to be submitted to rate regulatory agencies and insurance agencies. You may also act as project leader for relatively complex projects and studies.

Your work:

• Develops and analyzes data related to complex actuarial functions
• Evaluates analytical work done by others and makes decisions and recommendations that take into account internal and external environment
• Provides training to Actuarial Analysts
• Develops and analyzes new methodologies for insurance rating and loss reserving
• Gather and clean up data, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and ready for analysis
• Perform data analysis, conduct rate review, and recommend changes to new and existing insurance products
• Assist in the preparation of rate filing materials, exhibits, and other filing support data
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including state product management, finance, and claims, to provide actuarial support.
• Understand business requirements, provide project updates, and communicate results
• Follow industry developments, trends, market landscape, and emerging actuarial methods and tools
• Provide analytical support to other functions on an ad hoc basis

Required Experience, Education and Skills

• BA/BS in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 5 years of post-bachelor experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines insurance
• Or Graduate degree in statistics, mathematics, actuarial science or related area and 3 years experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal line insurance.
• At least 5 years of experience performing statistical and actuarial analysis on personal lines pricing insurance
• Completion of 5 or more actuarial exams
• Proficiency in statistical analysis and programming languages, such as: SQL, R, Python, Radar, etc.
• Strong analytical and communication skills
