Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Support the Design Lead in ensuring that all designs and systems are designed in compliance with defined project requirements and goals.
- Support the delivery of the work packages to the required scope, quality, schedule and cost.
- Assist in the coordination of design submittals, design presentations, and design charrettes reviews with internal project stakeholders.
- Assist in the management of the design review process with authorities having jurisdiction.
- Support the evaluation of design-builder progress against scope, quality, schedule cost and implement corrective action as needed.
- Assist in the management of the multidisciplinary design elements of the buildings, tracking designer technical performance and making appropriate technical responses.
- Assist in coordinating Subject Matter expert advice.
- Provide technical design guidance and review integration of the designs with other design packages.
- Assist in ensuring that the design documentation covers the scope of work required by the Client and is produced to agreed standards, schedule and budget.
- Assist in planning for effective project implementation, identifying key issues and effectively contribute to the project’s technical planning process.
- Assist in ensuring that the processes and activities being managed are appropriately documented with appropriate records maintained and quality controls applied.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture,
- 4 years of relevant experience
- Previous experience working with New York City agencies preferred
- Strong verbal and written skills in a client-facing capacity, including high level political acumen
- A demonstrated commitment to continuous focused learning and skill development, including emerging technologies and tools
- Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times
- Strong problem recognition and proactive resolution skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to regularly work independently and as part of a team
- Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
- Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools.
