Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Develop sketches, diagrams, design alternatives, calculations, and permitting and construction drawings under the supervision of an experienced civil engineer
- Assist with activities related to project scope, schedule, budgets, documentation, submittals, quality, communications, and disciplines coordination
- Work with MEP, Structural Engineering and Architecture Departments on multi-disciplinary projects for NYCDEP and NYCT
- Attend project/client meetings
- Assist with report writing and development of contract documents
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders on project deliverables.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- BS, Civil Engineering; MS desirable
- 5 years’ experience in planning and design of multi-disciplinary engineering projects, including civil-site and water/wastewater/stormwater related infrastructure
- Working knowledge of standard engineering software, e.g., AutoCAD and Civil 3D, H&H modelling, and MicroStation a plus
- Strong analytical and communications skills
- Engineer-In-Training (EIT) License required
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary engineering teams
- NYCDEP experience preferred
Salary : $95,000 - $120,000
