Responsibilities
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Manage Civil Infrastructure and Utility Projects related to water and wastewater
- Lead team to successfully deliver projects.
- Prepare and review preliminary and final plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates, and make recommendations.
- Responsible for working with the design team for day-to-day decisions on resource allocation, and project budgets
- Manage the preparation of engineering reports, plans, and specifications for projects.
- Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project.
- Coordinate with the City, State, and County officials, contractors, and clients.
- Proficient in CADD / Civil 3D techniques and principles.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Professional Engineer (PE) License in NY or NJ required
- Minimum 15 years of water/wastewater engineering experience, ideally including the design and constriction of full (including greenfield) wastewater treatment plants
- Pipe flow modeling experience
- Water treatment plant design experience a plus
- Lift station design experience a plus
- Entrepreneurial mindset
- Multi-tasker
- Ability to collaborate in a remote/hybrid work environment
- Great communication skills
- Excellent team-builder, client cultivator, quality manager, and operational leader
