Adventure Technology Services is a small IT contractor headquartered in Hanover, MD that provides high-level solutions to Federal Government customers and is always looking for high-quality professionals to join our team.
Position Title: System Engineer level 3
Required Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph
Location: Annapolis Junction
Description:
● Ensure the Splunk infrastructure functions properly with PKI-based authentication, corporate authorization services, firewalls, and SSL/TLS communications.
● Contribute to development and ongoing improvement of industry best practices and standards for maintaining data analytics enterprise technologies.
● Assist with installing, testing, and deploying hotfixes/patches for Splunk app/product releases to manage enterprise vulnerabilities.
● Assist with development of knowledge articles, documentation, and work instructions used by the Splunk, server, desktop and Information System Security teams, and Tier 2/3 Help Desk technicians.
Education & Related Experience:
Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required. Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
Salary Range: $155,000-$195,000
Salary ranges are determined by multiple factors, including but not limited to:

Education/Certifications Program placement
Duties & responsibilities Internal equity

OVERTIME STATEMENT:
40 hours is the standard workweek. Some programs may allow additional hours to be worked as needed. A limited number of programs have on-call requirements where compensation is provided for being engaged to wait. In all circumstances, technical employees will be paid for all time worked.
BONUS STATEMENT:
All billable employees are eligible to earn quarterly bonuses that are based on the number of hours worked for that period. This hourly requirement is roughly 92% of hours available to bill in a given quarter. Quarterly Hours Bonuses are paid out on the same payroll as the time worked in that prior quarter (typically 21 days after the quarter ends.)
