Logistics Staff Accountant
Job Type: Full-time; Onsite
Responsibilities:
- Post daily bank transactions.
- Post daily A/R related cash receipts applications.
- Daily credit card coding, processing, and reconciliation.
- Daily, weekly, and monthly bank reporting. Process weekly check runs.
- Be responsible for month end entries.
- Balance sheet accounts reconciliations and posting of related entries.
- Pro-actively researches and resolves issues with accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger.
- Assist with preparing after month end management reports.
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
- Must have a good understanding of GAAP.
- Analyzes information by developing spreadsheet reports and verifying information.
- Fast learner and ability to work in fast-pasted environment.
- Work collaboratively with team members and vendor contacts to follow up on vendor billing details and discrepancies completes other projects/responsibilities as assigned.
- Will be assigned to special projects as needed.
Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required. 3 years minimum of experience.
- Experience in the transportation/logistics (trucking) industry.
- Billing and collection experience is a HUGE plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs (Outlook, Excel and Word) with an emphasis on excel (knowledge of v-lookups/Pivot tables is essential).
- Working knowledge of McLeod Software is preferred.
- Excellent Communication (written and verbal) skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.
- Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- High customer service orientation.
- Ability to work in a team environment and with confidential data.
- Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility, and assertiveness.
- Ability to multi-task, plan/prioritize and execute in a timely manner.

This position offers a competitive base salary.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
