Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with customers and generate new business.
- Form a customer base by cold calling, issue quotes, prepare bids and make formal presentations to prospective customers.
- Solicit our client’s services which include Ocean Import, Air Import, Ocean Export, Air Export, Distribution & Warehousing, LTL Transportation, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage.
- Meet the monthly goals given by Sales Upper Management.
- Maintain consistent communication with our client’s Operations/Customer Service Departments and overseas offices.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3-5 years in selling freight.
- Multilingual is a plus.
- Strong customer service and communication skills. Sales experience preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel.
- The ability to learn quickly and work efficiently as productivity goals must be met.
- Good organizational skills as this position requires working with multiple departments and following up with clients and prospects.
- Proficient in CRM is a plus.
