Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and manage your own customer accounts.
- Source carriers, negotiate rates, and ensure freight moves efficiently and profitably.
- Manage daily communication with shippers and carriers to ensure on-time performance.
- Build and maintain long-term customer and carrier relationships.
- Collaborate with internal operations and fleet teams to cross-utilize assets when possible.
- Contribute to process improvement and long-term strategy for brokerage growth.
- 2 years in freight brokerage, transportation sales, or relevant B2B sales experience.
- Experience at a hybrid asset brokerage company is preferred.
- Familiarity with Southeast lanes and industry verticals like medical equipment, automotive, or general freight is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a freight book (cradle to grave).
- Knowledge of spot market pricing, modal differences, and freight fundamentals.
- Proactive communicator, resilient under pressure, and highly accountable.
- Comfortable with a commission-heavy or incentive-based comp model.
