The Position
Job Title: Carrier Sales Representative
Job Type: Full-time; On-site
Responsibilities:
- Procure Refrigerated FTL capacity, build/develop carrier networks and strategically match carriers with available freight.
- Drive daily and weekly load count, revenue and margin goals
- Negotiate rates with carriers to maximize profits and develop long term solutions.
- Develop current carrier base for consistent lane specific volumes.
- Verify all carriers to confirm they are qualified to haul for our client’s company
- Establish and maintain carrier relationships for future capacity opportunities
- Clarify load requirements with carriers, confirming drivers have proper information to pick-up/deliver.
- Meet departmental and personal profit margin goals.
- Maintain carrier satisfaction and provide high quality service and work ethic while representing our client’s company.
- Quickly and proactively resolve problems that arise while load is in transit.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years demonstrated broker experience.
- Refrigerated/Temp controlled FTL Experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal skills with emphasis on professional phone and email etiquette.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to build positive relationships at all levels of a business (internally and externally).
- Superior organizational skills with high attention to detail.
- Team player with proven ability to excel in a team-based environment.
- Possess a sense of urgency, flexibility and assertiveness. •
- Ability to multi-task, plan/prioritize and execute in a timely manner
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with rapidly changing priorities.
Location: Kansas City, KS
Compensation Details: This position offers a competitive base salary incentive.
Salary : $45,000 - $70,000
