Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Care Aide to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a nurturing approach to supporting the development of children in our care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the lead teacher in implementing daily activities and curriculum designed to promote learning in a safe and supportive environment.
- Supervise and engage children in play, ensuring a positive and enriching experience for all participants.
- Assist with meal and snack preparation, ensuring the adherence to dietary restrictions and food safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including sanitizing toys and surfaces regularly.
- Monitor children’s activities to ensure a safe play environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, activities, and any concerns.
- Support children's emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in early childhood education or a related field are a plus.
- Previous experience in a child care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with young children.
