Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Instruction: Design and implement rigorous, inquiry-based curricula that extend grade-level standards in core subjects.
- Student Identification & Assessment: Participate in the gifted identification process, evaluating student data, portfolios, and standardized test scores.
- Differentiated Learning: Collaborate with general education teachers to tier instruction, compact curriculum, and provide push-in or pull-out enrichment.
- Social-Emotional Support: Address the unique affective needs of gifted learners, including perfectionism, overexcitabilities, and underachievement.
- Communication: Maintain active partnership with parents, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams regarding student growth and personalized learning plans.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Education (Master’s in Gifted Education preferred).
- Certification: Current State Teaching License with an Academically & Intellectually Gifted (AIG) Endorsement (or active enrollment in an approved program with pending completion).
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience preferred.
- Skills: Strong foundation in project-based learning, STEM/STEAM integration, and effective development strategies.
