Job Description:
We are seeking dedicated and skilled Warehouse Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will assist with managing the flow of parts and inventory within our warehouse. This position requires a detail-oriented and organized individual with a strong background in production processes, parts knowledge, routing, and expediting. The ideal candidate will possess excellent computer skills, have experience with sales orders, staging, and receiving, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently receive items and ensure they are accurately stored in designated areas/bins.
- Process orders diligently, pulling parts or items for the shops based on demand.
- Locate and inspect requested items from storage areas for conformity and quality.
- Verify that pulled parts are intact and free from defects before processing.
- Maintain accurate parts inventory and promptly requisition low-stock items.
- Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills in response to changing conditions.
- Read and follow work orders to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Update work orders and records as needed to reflect current inventory status.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Comprehensive knowledge of warehouse processes, inventory management, and logistics.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform manual tasks such as kneeling, bending, and standing throughout the workday.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; further education in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
- Proven organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in operating a sit-down propane forklift and other material handling equipment, including dolly, pallet jack, etc.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
