OVERVIEW:
As a Mechanical Assembly Technician, you will play an important role in the assembly, repair, and troubleshooting of various manufactured equipment, including trailers, skids, and other mobile oilfield equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the highest standards of quality and performance through hands-on assembly. Your expertise will help us deliver reliable, efficient products to our customers, contributing to their overall satisfaction.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform assembly, repair, and maintenance on various oilfield equipment by following detailed instructions and safety protocols.
- Accurately identify various types of fittings such as JIC, NPT, and ORB.
- Conduct startup and function testing, ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and effectively.
- Troubleshoot, identify, and resolve any issues or hazards encountered during assembly and testing processes.
- Collaborate with team members to read and interpret basic schematics, blueprints, and engineering drawings.
- Utilize hand and power tools to fit, adjust, and secure components during the assembly process, including the ability to crimp hose fittings effectively.
- Maintain compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations while performing all tasks.
- Assist with other shop-related duties as assigned to support team efforts.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical assembly within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Proven experience in repairing and assembling heavy equipment, with a focus on hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, and lubrication systems.
- Strong ability to follow detailed assembly instructions and safety procedures.
- Proficient in reading gauges, tape measures, and other mechanical instruments.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to thrive in a collaborative, multi-disciplined environment.
- High School Diploma, GED, or related certification preferred.
- Solid understanding of basic mathematics principles.
- Must maintain a complete set of necessary tools for the job.
